Southern Tier Hoppe

A new brewery from New York. Available in MO. 22 ounce bottle. Pours is brilliant golden with some rising carbonation. Resinous pure white head. Bright citrus and pine dry hop aroma. Really, can you go wrong with Amarillo and Columbus? I think not.The flavor is a restrained blast of hops, pine, and ...

Rich toasted flavor. There?s an underlying herbal spice hop character. Medium body with prickly carbonation. D...

Ballast Point Black Marlin Porter

22 ounce bottle. Pours dark brown with mahogany highlight or two. Creamy beige head with some lace left behind. I smell oats in the nose. It reminds me of a Starbucks Frappaccino, or some other sweet coffee drink. Pretty chocolaty with a sturdy bitter finish. Very full body. Average carbonation. Dry...

Ballast Point Big Eye IPA

A new beer from a San Diego brewery. Available on the KS side. I picked this 22 ounce bottle up at Lukas Liquors on 110th and Metcalf in OP. Pour light amber or dark golden. Long lasting white head with some good lace. This thing must have been filter to death. Pretty good blend of hops in the nose....

I would wonder about the hops. Not the IBUs, but there seems to me there will be a lot of hop aroma that I'm not sure is appropriate. Thats just what I take away from a first glance.

Re: Score!

Southern Tier: Un*Earthly IPA (No idea what to expect from this) My impressions 22 ounce bottle served in my Duvel tulip. Pours a crystal clear brilliant amber with a dense creamy resinous head. The aroma is a fabulous balance of citrus and earthy hops and sweet malt. The flavor features a dump tru...

Boulevard Long Strange Tripel

750 ml corked and caged bottle. Batch number 1. Served in my Smokestack Series glass. Pours lightly hazed amber with a dense white head. The head completly fades. The aroma is fruity (apples, pears), pepper, alcohol, and some hops. Again with some apples in the flavor, with the lightest bit of caram...
