Re: Convert from Promash to BeerXML (Beersmith, etc)

I have really been thinking of pulling the trigger, not that I don't love Promash...but it is time to get on with the 21st century after all. Can you say G.U.I :bounce:

Re: Keg/Carboy Washer Build

Here is what I do: I always hose out the keg or carboy a couple of times to get all the loose goolies and crud that will readily come off-- else it'll be circ'n the whole time. I use hot TAP water. Most pumps are thermo-protected. Over 160 they generally stop working, check your manufactures specs o...

Okay I am really lost... After Jason's most excellent post a while back I had no problem posting lots of pics from my Flickr account. It has been a while... Well, now I can't seem to do anything. I have a pro account, but I certainly ain't no pro. Anyone else use Flickr? Something change? Maybe I am...

Re: filtering tap water

What kind of filter are you using/thinking about using? This is what I went with. The GE seemed to be the most ergonomic, and had the widest choices of filtration available. I have it set up with quick connects on the In and Out which I can close off and store. I am feeling as long as I run water t...

Re: filtering tap water

I have found that to be the case with so many fine beers that I drink from our club off the Clinton tap Andy. And quite frankly RO is a lot of work... You are right the water dept does offer analysis of both taps, actually every 3 months. I'll take charge getting those releases, and work with Sean ...

Re: Pretty Close to a 90 Minute IPA clone

Does this mean the hop bitterness levels are different for a ninety minute boil compared to your listing? Or does it mean that the beer you brewed-- rocked, like so many that you brew, and who the hell needs accurate notes-- Chuck Norris, I mean Sean B!!!!

I think you would want 6.5 or bigger for head space, 6 could be cutting it close. Wish better bottles came in 6.5.!

Re: Not great beer, but a cool commercial

I had a guy about ten years ago come in buy a Sapporo can, and stood outside by his car and chugged it. Then he took some tin snips out of his trunk and cut the ends off, put some gloves on, and with some muffler tape made a muffler repair on the spot. 6 months later it was still working like a char...

Re: filtering tap water

You might find a small change in your beers Jeff switching over from building RO but Ive found building water just isn't worth it. Lawrence water is pretty decent. I have found that to be the case with so many fine beers that I drink from our club off the Clinton tap Andy. And quite frankly RO is a...
