Re: Kegs, CO2 tanks, gauges for sale

Bruce, I've got you down for the 2 pin locks.
Thanks,
Phil

The single gauge regulator does require a screwdriver to adjust, locking nut, no pressure relief on gauge set.
It does have a cage around it.
Thanks,
Phil

Re: Kegs, CO2 tanks, gauges for sale

3 ball locks sold. I'll put your name on them. I put them on the washer, 2 are pristine, one needs a bit of a soak.
Thanks,
Phil

Kegs, CO2 tanks, gauges for sale

A brewer friend is relocating out of the country and I purchased some of his stuff. I have too much stuff now. I don't work in Lawrence everyday anymore but pick up and/or delivery can easily be worked out. I'm about 10 miles south of Atchison Ks. Thanks for looking, Phil Here is the updated list; 2...

9 pass cold plate

I have a former coke dispenser, 9 passes, stainless steel stand, misc. Parts and pieces. I can email pics if interested. In lawrence daily for work, but not loading this up for giggles. All fair offers considered, tired of seeing it go unused and sweeping around it.
Phil

pm if interested.

Re: Homegrown Hops

I tried the drying thing and wasn't impressed. Last year I picked them green and froze them and they have maintained fairly well. I'm a novice hop grower at best, but do enjoy the idea of using my own hops in some of my beers. I've got a decent crop this year and plan on doing something similar. Phil

Re: Full Kimono Tri-brewery collaboration.

I must have missed the guilds collaboration information, what type of brew might that be?
Sounds like a good event.

Re: All grain troubleshoot

I've been all around those temperature ranges with little trouble. I favor the 1.25 qt. to lb grain, they say thicker mashes help improve conversion and yield. I've over milled and really achieved some great results, but with a careful and slow sparge with fear of the STUCK MASH! I 've added rice hu...

I thought the Merc carried some soda extracts, maybe even the new whole foods place.

Re: New Orleans suggestions

Funky Pirate, hand grenades are popular and some of the best local live music, decent tap selection, but after two hand grenades I really didn't care. Felix's Oyster bar, has some local flair, excellent crab sandwich. Muffalatta at the place by the pier, can't think of the name, but the locals will ...

Joe and Steve are on target. I did notice where you mentioned bottling in a growler, most aren't rated for carbonation. I've got some of those flip-top type growlers and they are rated for the pressure, you don't want explosions.

Famous Daves was probably the latest employer that I know of
Big retirement community will be opening in the fall at 6th and Folks, should be some hiring coming up. I'll keep a look out while I'm out inspecting these various places.
