Yeah, the merc has "better bottles" and glass carboys. I think their 5gal glass ones are ~33 bucks though. So that's my fallback option if I don't find anything else.

A friend of mine just found one at the Social Services League for $10, so I'm pretty jealous of him.

I've started brewing mead recently in 1 gallon glass jugs, but I'm ready to move up to a larger size. I'm looking for a 5 gallon glass carboy, but I'd rather not pay $30+ bucks for one. Does anyone have a carboy they would sell to me or know of somewhere I can buy one cheaply around Lawrence ...
