Re: 3 CO2 Tanks

It is likely these tanks are out of certification (every 5 yrs). $35/tank is not unusual for re-certification.

Canada Pilsen Malt

To protein rest or not to protein rest? Aiming for a white and light ale. Can I use this malt as base malt like I would use pale malt? Head retention? Add wheat malt? Can't seem to find info to confirm this as a fully modified malt.

Re: Need advise to hopefully save some money.

All compressed gas cylinders have a pressure certification requirement. This is a federal safety requirement. CO2 cylinders generally need this certification every 5 years. If you buy a cylinder that is out of date the fee for certification is in the neighborhood of $35, plus the cost of the gas and...

Re: Wanted: Kegging Equiptment.

I have used Homebrewing.org quite a lot. It has been cheaper in terms of shipping to order 4 at a time. Homebrewing.org is very fast and all 20 or so kegs I have ordered have been in quite good shape. If you can get past the "ball" lock, come to the dark side, and move up to "pin"...

Re: 3-4 cases of Grolsch swingtop bottles

I have intended to bring swing-tops (as well as Seans crates and containers) to this Thursdays meeting--a case (24) for ginner1 and 1 for Bill and 1 for JWlero--please let me know if you still want them before Thursday.

Re: 3-4 cases of Grolsch swingtop bottles

The swing tops are now north of town. Looks like there's enough for everyone to have a case. I live a couple of miles north of Perry and can meet up, at some point, with you -JWlero and you Bill. You will need a container -- I will be returning Seans containers. I DO get out once in a while............

Re: 3-4 cases of Grolsch swingtop bottles

All I need is an address. I know my way around here pretty well. 41 years in this location. Anyone else interested? I will get them out of Seans way-- I can probably only use one case.

Nice to hear from ya Jason. It's kinda quiet here on the forum since your departure. Your old mash tun is serving me very well--very grateful to you for it. I will be watching for you here and look forward to whatever you might have to say about the local guild there. Best of luck.

Mini Keg Tap

Looking for a mini-keg (5 liter) tapper(powered by 8,12, or 16 gram CO2)-- Anyone have one to sell or trade? They are excellent for passing beer to the rest of the family.
