I have a Barley Crusher and it does not have detents, but mine is about 7-8 years old. The newer ones may have detents.

I agree. Don't get me wrong, I really like FSB. In fact it is one of the main reasons I moved to Lawrence. But in my travels I have found others that are just as good, if not better, in some aspects.
