I'm trying to clean up some old equipment that I have at my house and discovered some laptops.
In the past, people hit me up for laptops for keeping around for brewing, etc.
Is anyone interested now? I'd prolly let them go for between $75-$100 each.

Re: Sinamar vs. Carafa for a CDA ( Black IPA )
I take a small amount of Carafa and pulverize it in a clean coffee grinder. Then sprinkle it across the top of the grain bed before sparging.. This give you color without much roast flavor (which carafa still has, but not as much as roast or chocolate malts.

Re: Newbie here - first batch - have a few questions.
The FG 1.019 seems a bit high since the recipe looks for 1.010-1.012. There could be a couple of reasons for this: (btw; this is a minor deal for your first beer, don't sweat it.) Water volume could have been off a bit. Yeast may not have finished, I usually give them 10-14 days in primary before mo...

Keep the existing brew cold. I dropped a big pitch of lager yeast just before going into the fermenter. It took me a week to find another source of yeast to pitch. The beer turned out fine.
