Re: Beer Fridge

Is this still available? I might be interested. I'll come pick it up and clean it myself. Maybe show up with some home brew? Whatever it takes to push you "waiving" the fee, lol!

Need a Keg Tap Body Washer and probe washer

Frank,

Do you have these or are able to get these? They are for a standard Sankey American coupler. If so how much?

Thanks,

Jared

Re: Hop growing question

FYI, as discussed above I cut all my bines the first week in May and I can say the later bines have been much hardier and already half way up my twine, lol. My centennial hop is still the weakest of the bunch so maybe not cutting it back could be useful.

Re: Hop growing question

Well, they say cut first week in may which would allow the later bines to grow to the point that by mid to lat May they would be climbing. So far my cascade plant has already bounced back and I see wrapping them on my line in probably late next week. Same with my Mt. Hood and Tettnang. My centennial...

Re: Hop growing question

Everything I read says that you want to cut all of early spring bines first week of May. Then select 2 to 3 bines of the new growth to climb the lines. The goal is not to have bines climbing the lines till late May. Apparently the later bines tend to produce more healthier hop cones. Saying that, I ...

I'll take a couple of the 1/2 barrels if they hold pressure.

I have frozen sealed 26 oz of Columbus. How much you need? I would be willing to trade for some Galaxy or Amarillo.

Re: adding vanilla, coffee, and cocoa to brew?

I think 4 oz cocoa nibs is pretty standard starting point for a 5 gallon batch. When I made my Russian Imperial Stout, I purchased fresh whole vanilla beans, split them open, scooped the gunk out of them and threw it all (the beans plus their gunk) in the secondary. I let it set fro 2 weeks. I belie...

Kyle, a Nathan Young beat you to the punch and is supposed to be coming up Saturday to pick it up. However, if that falls through you are next on the list. Cheers.

Very Large 22+ cu. ft. keezer, great for lagering

I have a old, very large, Kelivinator that I installed a temperature controller in and have been using for the past few years to lager/age beer in. It easily holds 3 full size kegs, plus a few corny's plus c02 plus additional compartment for misc crap. I was lucky enough to get upgraded to a similar...
