Can a March pump be mounted a couple of feet above where it is drawing if the pump is primed? And will a closed valve on the output side hold the prime when moving a hose on the output side? thank you How do you prime the pump if it's mounted above what you are drawing from? I've got a simple keg washing setup with a cleaning regimen similar to Andy's. Works great for my sanke fermenters. White vinegar with some salt with also remove beer stone if you don't have an acid like Andy mentioned. One of these days you and Mike should stop by to check it out.

Chest freezers are a good option if they can be scored on the cheap/free. I use mine as a fermentation chamber since it fits two sanke fermenters nicely. Rob is right that it's hard on the compressor to have them constantly cycling, they don't actually run "cooler", the compressor is eithe...
