Free Willamette, dammit
I've got one of these hops that I'm tired of. It too dry here for Willamette. I'm going to dig it up and, well if you want it let me know, otherwise I will compost it. FREE.

Hop growing question
So my 3 varietals of Hops are coming up for the 4th season, and already some are above my head. There's a shoot that grows out of the V between leaf and bine that I usually wind around that bine. Should I cut those to encourage bigger growth on my 3 bines?

Re: Interesting Brewing Articles
I've been trying to brew a good chocolate beer for years now.
Yesterday I went to buy a 6 pack and came away with this.. My chocolate cravings were completely sated!

Freeze them after drying. I had some frozen condensation in my ziploc despite their dryness.

Re: Homegrown Hops
Someone brought hops in gallon pots to a meeting early this spring. I brought home a cascade plant and put it in the ground, and it grew about 6' tall and has hops on it. I hear cascade is the one to grow around here. I think its got more hops on it than my 3 yo Willamette.
