I'd like some of those vanilla beans please, 4.. or 8 if no one else wants any, I don't want to be greedy.

I'm looking at the nibs I bought, made by Scharffen Berger it comes in a 6 oz package. They are roasted and shelled and it cost $9.85 at Au Marche.

With my last batch I ground them in a coffee grinder and added them to enough vodka to completely cover them, let them steep in that for some weeks. I don't recall if I put them in a hop bag or not in the keg, maybe Joe remembers. I got them at Au Marche, probably a 4 oz.

I would add that you might want to puree it, as its all about surface area.
