3 Keggle (15.5 gallon) Brewing Rig with stainless burners

I'm considering trading in my 3-keggle system with two stainless steel burner stands (specifically designed for keggles), perfect for ten gallon batches, in for a slightly lighter-weight three kettle system. Same volume, just swapping keggles for kettles. For that reason, I can't quite justify buyin...

Re: Interesting Brewing Articles

↑↑↑ Wow, finally legal in all 50 states, but only legal to brew 60 gallons per year? (15 gallons every three months.) At least in Kansas we can do 200/year. Never thought I'd see the day that I thought Kansas' liquor laws GOOD by comparison. Well, okay, not GOOD... but at least not quite as draconia...

Re: Woes with leaks and aeration

And you're sure it's not the QD that's got a bad gasket or something?

Re: Motorizing a grain mill . . . . . . without a drill

I've read all about the mythical Beefy Bodine, but I can't seem to find one for sale ANYWHERE. And believe me, I've looked. Apparently they stopped making them? If you got a hook-up for one, please let me know.

Re: Motorizing a grain mill . . . . . . without a drill

Jared, what is the make and model of your motor? Can anyone who's direct-driving their mill give us some makes/models/part numbers to search for?

Thanks

Re: Motorizing a grain mill . . . . . . without a drill

Motorizing my mill has long been on my To Do List also. But finding a motor with the desired low RPM and high torque has proven VERY difficult without spending a ton of money. I too would rather do a spider/lovejoy coupling than set up flywheels and belts, so please let me know if you come across so...

Re: pellet hops for sale

Okay... either the original post got edited, or I am blind. Sorry for not seeing the full explanation Orval. :) As for not wanting to break up packages, I totally get it. But I don't need a full pound of Hallertauer either. So would anyone like to maybe split the pound with me? I have a food-saver a...

Re: pellet hops for sale

Actually, I'd like to try the Zythos too. Sounds interesting but haven't used it yet. And I think I'm going to do a Kölsch soon also, but don't have any german hops. So I'd gladly take some of your Hallertauer also. You willing to split up your volumes? I'd take a half-pound, if so. You just making ...

I'd like the Falconer's Flight.

How best to pay you?

Re: Free motor

Sure... bring it along to the meeting. If I can't use it, I'll try to find it another home and keep it out of the landfill. I looked at the Insinkerator website. Looks like it's a pretty damn high RPM (1700+), but no info on torque. Really wish it had some info on how many foot-pounds it can handle....

Re: Free motor

I'd be interested in motorizing my mill with it... been looking for a very long time for a motor, in fact. Are its RPM and torque info on it?

Are you looking to trade or just find it a good home? Either way, I'm very interested.

Thanks,
Matt

Re: 23rd st firken

This is happening RIGHT NOW, as I type this, so obviously I'm not there. But I gotta admit to serious curiosity about it. I mean, coconut rum brown ale? Crazy.

So if anyone did go and feels like posting some tasting notes, I'd much appreciate it.
