Well, IF I had to use the dry, I was going to do several rounds of culturing to get it up to a 3L starter. The packet into 100mL, then into 500mL, and finally into 3L.

What are the advantages to refilling instead of swapping, aside from getting the same bottle back? How many extra lbs do you get in a propane refill? I asked the praxair guy to refill my tank instead of swap once and he gave me the stink eye and told me some excuse why he couldn't that day.
