The why is mainly because they were working on their own stuff. I just spoke with Heath and got an invite to visit. I returned the invite with an invite to the next LBG meeting and he responded Yes. So everyone can meetand greet 3/12.

You guys are funny. Heath brought 23rd st beer to the brewfest in 2007. He was Buckys assistant replacing Adrian. A flub of a basic recipe at 23rd (which turned out to be delicious, employees named it termination) caused his change in vocation. He was planning the Barnyard brand prior to this event....

Wow thanks. There are no real secrets only practice and determination. Of course good ingredients and extrordinary process techniques make a difference, for instance I think the barleywine gets a 3 hour boil(no sh..) Another thing is you must hide some away as not to drink it all before it matures (...

Desirable or undesirable? Depends. Wee Heavy Scotch ales and other big dark beers(not dry stout) benefit from Kettle Carmelization. It converts some of the wort to unfermentable sugars that impart sweetness to the beer in the short and long term. In the long term the melanoidens created can give you...

I do understand that relationship. Problems I've encountered are where my kettle sits on the stand, outdoors, on concrete, in the rain, the rust coming off of the steel bed frames sticks pretty well to the rim (contact point) of the kettle. Also in trying to be fancy and polishing/descaring the keg ...
