May 2012

OK, today's time-critical element is an event for *today* - Firkin Friday at 23rd Street! They're tapping two firkins late afternoon/early evening (5:30-ish, I think). One is a chocolate rye IPA brewed with collaborative assistance from Guild members Andy, Joe, Rob, Jeff, Jim, and Wanda. The other i...

The next meeting is May 10. Meetings are the second Thursday of each month; usually no December meeting due to the Guild Christmas party.

Re: Interesting Evening

He'll need one of those cellular credit card swipers... :drunken: :drunken: :drunken: OK, looks like I need to standardize rates for people who desire my imbibing companionship. After the...

Does anyone have a spare smack pack or start of 1056? I plan to grow it, so a small amount would be fine....

Re: #2 HDPE 55 gallon barrels

Hey George,

I'll bring them if I can. Today, my boss said that there's a deposit on them and not to take them. I found that to be a change as they've been converted for other use in the past.

I can bring them to the meeting Thursday if they'll fit in your vehicle. The outsides aren't overly clean at the moment.

Re: #2 HDPE 55 gallon barrels

What, you guys are afraid of a little methanol poisoning? Or cyanosis? Gee, picky bunch here. Our poisons are shipped in food-grade containers, though.

I certainly agree that they would need to be cleaned well; re-purposing would be a better option, I'm sure.
