Re: Wyeast 1056 cake to give away.
[quote="FDillon00"]I got a 1056 cake I am holding. Anyone want it? It'll go down the drain other wise. Produced 14 March, Propagated into a starter on 9 April, Pitched into an 80 IBU American IPA on 4/16, harvested 4/21. I can start the wash down as soon as someone claims it. The air space...

Dillon, hold onto yours for your brewday. I can make the 1272 work in the IPA.
Jim, I'll get a hold of you Wednesday to work out getting the yeast from you.

That's impressive. Looks good. But all that matters is does it mill well. Looks like it would.

Need some 1056 or 1968 or 001 or 007
I am brewing on Friday with a friend of mine, and he wants a IPA or IIPA.
But my 1056 pitch is suspect. I'd like to have a backup ready just in case (which is probable).
Anyone have a slug of yeast or a couple of packs / tubes they would part with? I'd compensate ya.
And I'll pick it up.
Thanks.

Re: venting
Northern Brewer and Austin Homebrew for ingredients
MoreBeer for gadgets.
I've been very satisfied with them.
Sometimes I'll buy yeast from B&B.

Re: 5-7gal carboy
+1 I've brewed with mine for 5+ years without any issue or off flavors. Plus the safety of not using glass.. I have a hard time wrapping my head (read: my tree-hugging head) around using any kind of plastic for fermenting (or anything brewing related if I can find an alternative). I think that leave...

Re: Pretty Close to a 90 Minute IPA clone
Does this mean the hop bitterness levels are different for a ninety minute boil compared to your listing? Or does it mean that the beer you brewed-- rocked, like so many that you brew, and who the hell needs accurate notes-- Chuck Norris, I mean Sean B!!!! Chuck Norris drinks beer, I MAKE BEER! Any...

Re: Pretty Close to a 90 Minute IPA clone
It does need a 90 minute boil. The pilsner has to have that or it will taste off.
