Yes, they hold pressure. No guarantees of how clean they are inside.Rugger1978 wrote:I'll take a couple of the 1/2 barrels if they hold pressure.

Carboys and Sankey's 4 Sale

Carboys are sized for Primary>Secondary for beer, wine, and mead etc. 6.5g- sold 6.0g- sold 5.0g- sold I also have Sankey kegs that are ready t...

Re: Let's talk Partigyle
I always cap the tun with character malts before I start my second running's. Helps add complexity to your second beer. I also will stop my first running's around 1.030 depending on what styles of beer I'm making and if/any sugar I will add to my second beer. Either way no lower than 1.030 is a good...

Re: Propane Tanks for sale
Ok, that's helpful advice. If they somehow check the valve out before they give me the swap, what kind of grief will they give me about it? Will it be a charge to replace it? If they give you any grief they would just charge you for a valve replacement. But, Id barter that price. If it becomes a de...

Re: Propane Tanks for sale
Where can I get that replacement done and how much does it cost? Oops, maybe I misread Andy's post. Was that $50 to get the valve replaced or just to have it filled? That was a fill. Very inconsistent pricing. Id say if you are going to swap it you might get away with not having to get the valve re...

Took a 40 in and was charged $52. Same day another member took their 40 in and got charged $32ish. I get a headache figuring this out.

Re: Boulevard Limited Release - Foeder Projekt #1
Its definitely the most acidic offering from them yet. I asked Dustin about the carbonation level as the ones we were served at Merchants was purely flat. He mentioned it had a low carbed anyways. I sure would of like to had a nice carb roll on this beer to open it up a bit.

Re: Brewing an Oatmeal Stout from Grain...tips? Suggestions?
I like to toast the oats in the oven. Adds a nice element to the beer. Also instead of using Flaked Oats you can use the Quick Oats found at the grocery store. Since they are rolled they are already gelatinized from the rolling process so all you need to to is toss them into the mash. No cereal mash...
