I had cascades at my old house. They grew like crazy. I too would like to get some rhizomes. Maybe some of the noble hop variety. Fuggle, hallertauer, etc.

Actually I've seen several rigs setup with the MT high and center. I too have a RIMS and I still use direct fire to the MT for all the reasons Jensen stated. Works well.

I recirculate the wort while cooling with an immersion chiller. Works great. Once the wort is below 80F I start spraying the wort back into the kettle and I add the yeast at this point. The hop bed is not fine enough to trap the yeast. Lots of aeration and the yeast is well dispersed. I did not inve...

I looked at one of these at the NHC in 2005. My concern would be keeping it clean. The tubing on the inside has to be quite small.

COBOL ?? No, this is an AS/400 so it is RPG!!! Yes, I have 56G of DASD for it. I even have a 5250 console for it.
