Re: Anyone else using a BCS controller?

Fantastic! Great Presentation of the set up too! 220v, my brew partner, I am sure, is drooling. Any Problems with scorching anywhere in the process so far?

I am speechless. Not about the system, but that you use pin-locks!

Re: Lets talk clearifying agents.

I think those are only necessary if you're trying to push something super bright out in a very sort time. You hit the head on the nail. Most all protiens and yeast will fall with time. If bottling or serving is need in a hurry, then by all means! Of course chill haze can be a whole other thread... ...

Re: Lets talk clearifying agents.

I've always just used the basic Irish Moss with really brilliantly crystal-clear results. That being said, I always keg first and\or have always repackaged, if needed, from the keg. The first draw or two from a keg has always taken out the last little bit of turbidity my beers ever have. Unless Real...

cloged keg

For those of you that dry hop in a serving keg with a hop bag and leave it in for the duration, here are a few helpful hints. After you are done with the carbing of the keg at high pressure, release the pressure before you open the faucet. A high pressure push through the faucet can actually suck pa...

Re: Lots of stuff going on here

Very cool Andy! Shane just got one this week as well. I am anxious to hear his experiences too. Keep us posted on the finished beer's flavor profile in comparison to other techniques. Were you able to put a full four oz of hops in the Rocket? Did you run the pump at full speed or throttle it back a ...

Re: Has anyone made pretzel's and used lye ?

Wow, lye? Huffing gas or sniffing glue maybe... Spending the summer in a former iron-curtain country John? This pretzel mixture talk really scares me. Of course, I know even less. With all the Swamp-whatever-reality shows from down south on TV lately I am a little suspect these days, who knows, bett...
