4.6 cu ft refrigerator sale

#1 Post by Dale Wheeler » Thu Aug 13, 2009 8:57 am

Hy-Vee, 91st and Metcalf, OP, has a great deal on these small fridges. Purchase one for $149 + tax, and get a $100 store gift certicate back. Just got mine this morning, will use it for dry curing sausages and duck breast prosciutto.
I think this sale is for this Hy-Vee location only, but worth checking at other locations.

The usefulness of opinion is itself matter of opinion.

Good to see that I wasn't the only one who glossed right over the fridge sale when he read about Dale's meat.

Um, that came out wrong. :)

Dale, when are you going to bring some of that to a meeting for us to sample? (Again, excuse the unintentional double-entendre. *grin*)

I'm reading an amazing book on the subject of curing meat, Charcuterie by Michael Ruhlman and Brian Polcyn http://www.amazon.com/Charcuterie-Craft ... 659&sr=8-1
I may bring some sausage and prosciutto Fri night at Brewfest. We'll see how it goes.

Thanks for posting about this sale! I just scored one at HyVee on 6th Street in Lawrence for a total price of $53 and change. The Clinton Parkway Lawrence HyVee didn't have any.
