High-End Speakers for Sale (you need tunes when you brew!)

#1 Post by BourbonDrinker » Mon Oct 18, 2010 10:32 am

My friends-

I'm selling my MartinLogan Purity speakers...know anyone that might be interested?

http://www.martinlogan.com/products/purity

The retail for $3,300+tax.

I'm asking for $1900. They are two years old and in immaculate condition. They are in the black finish.

I prefer local pickup.

The Purity is a fully powered design, which means you can plug an iPod or Zune directly into them (although I recommend using a dock and/or DAC). They'll work equally well in an existing audio or home theater system --- and will sound better than normal speakers with an inexpensive entry level receiver (because they can by-pass the cheap amplifier in such a receiver).

Each speaker features a built-in 200 watt B&O ice amplifier, a 28-inch electrostatic panel, and dual 6.5 inch aluminum cone woofers. Includes original cartons, spike feet, and all accessories.

Show here in cherry---the speakers for sale are in black.

You are asking 1900 for the pair? Looks like they are priced individually on line (1450) is that right?

The going rate for used is $1900 per pair not including shipping...if you buy thes from me they're local (so no shipping) and they're from the most reputable source you can find for used MartinLogan speakers...

Nothing wrong with these. They'rr great speakers. I'm just upgrading.
