Moving to Denver - cheap/free Brew Stuff to a good home

#1 Post by Jdl973 » Wed Apr 27, 2016 10:01 am

I just found out last week my company is moving to Denver and by proxy, so am I.

We are moving into a smaller place and have to find loving homes for some of my excess equipment.

- 5-6 cases of champagne bottles, labels removed and clean. The bottles are a mix of small and large caps.
- Scales, brew books, ale pails, hydrometers...
- Stir plates
- Carboys
- Yeast Flasks - 1000 to 5000 ML (about 15 of them ...some still with yeast in them)
- Pin lock kegs - complete - I think I have the connectors as well
- 30-50 lb of rice hulls
- Hops (old and sealed...free!)
- Glove box for growing yeast
- 2 Tap (Peerless) Jox-Box with plate chiller, quick connects and all the bells and whistles
- and I'm sure there is a bunch of stuff I have not even dug off the shelves yet!

We will be packing up the house this Thursday and Friday and I should have located most of the excess brew stuff and have it ready for Saturday. So this is basically going to be a Brewers dream garage sale! Come on over and make me an offer - this stuff needs to be out of my home by the end of Saturday.

Address is 8017 Hall Dr., Lenexa, KS 66219. My cell phone is 913 – 980 – 0070

Who knows, there may even be some left over beer to be drunk!

Also, if anybody has equipment I have lent them over the years (kegs, microscopes, who the heck knows what else), please let me know and we can arrange a pickup.

I am very sad to be leaving the Guild as it has been an awesome experience over the years! I have met some of the smartest, interesting and downright great people over the years. The only small consolation to moving to Denver is we are moving to a very awesome brewing city and will find new beer adventures.

We have got to hook up before you leave, once again.

With that said, shoot me a pic of the jock box. I might be able to get the club to buy it from you.

What are the details on the hydrometers and the stir plates?
How much? What kind...etc?

I will be pulling all the stuff out tonight and tomorrow to get pics and the specifics. Not sure what current prices are on Glass Carboy (5, 6.5), pin/ball lock kegs and the like.

Andy will get pics.

Brew books? Might be interested in any/all... depends if they're duplicates of what we have in the library...

And personally, I might be interested in brew books and/or all sorts of other odds n' ends.

Sorry Jon, the brew books got packed...

take a look at http://kansascity.craigslist.org/for/5562673836.html for photos and prices. LBG members get a discount on everything.
