Congrats to all of the winners of the KC Bier Meisters' 31st Annual Homebrew Competition! Angelo Ruiz won first place in the sour ale category for “Acido Rojo.” Angelo and Jenalea Myers placed second in the spice, herb and vegetable category for “Nocturnal Nutter Butter,” and Jenalea and Kyle MacMillan took home third place in the fruit beer category for “Blueberry Fin Porter.” Tom Bastian received an honorable mention for “Red Door Saison,” third place for “Antithesis Saison Wine Hybrid” and first place for “Peach Saison” all in the Belgian and French ale category. Tom also earned second place for “Sour Cherry Bock” in the American wild ale category, while Jim McGovern brought home first place for “Kanwaka Farmhouse Ale.”

Nice to see new faces/names here. In the old days it was Andy, Shane, and me. Then there was this new guy Angelo. Accompanied by Kev Hansen and team Bowe and Christin. Oh ya and not to forget Jim "I Brew With Bugs" McGovern! LBG LBG!
