North Coast Brewing PranQster Belgian Style Golden Ale

12oz bottle
7.6%abv
$6.49/4pack at Lukas State Line

Bottle Conditioned

Poured a hazy gold, low head
Banana and clove in the nose
Medium body, tasted very "wheaty"
Plenty of malt up front.
Dry spicy (clove) finish slightly phenolic
Warming alcohol

This tasted more like a weizenbock to me. Categories aside, I liked it a lot.
If you don't like the banana/clove thing this is not for you.
Dangerously drinkable at that alcohol level.

North Coast used to be available in the area a few years ago,
it is good to see them back.
Their Old Raspustin Imperial Stout is also worth checking out.
Raise a toast to St. Joe Strummer
