We got a new ice cream maker so I've been playing around with recipes.
12 oz Fade to Black
12 oz Cream (I used Iwig cream)
1/2 c sugar
mix beer and sugar together until sugar has dissolved. Add cream and drop in ice cream maker.
Wow, the Fade to Black is a mouth full even when it is half cream. Really lets the coffee come out of the flavor profile. Xan thought she was picking up alcohol notes and commented that she could really taste the Fade to Black.
Next time i might add a little more sugar, maybe brown, possibly some vanilla, something to even out the bitter.
