#0.5 Simpsons Chocolate
#0.5 Simpsons Black (patent)
#0.5 Simpsons Roasted Barley
(4qt. H2O@165F for 60 minutes)

2, #6 NB Amber Malt syrup

1oz. Galena@60 minutes
1oz. Fuggle@45 minutes
1oz. Willamette@10 minutes
1lb. Intelligentsia 'Morning Blend' drip grind -- cold brewed overnight then filtered. Added@5 minutes

Wyeast Scottish Ale yeast


This sucker came in at OG 1.102 (might be a bit high do to the amount of particulate matter). Bottled at 1.029 with no priming component.

After 7 weeks in bottles it forms a nice (although short) head with top-notch lacing. Strong coffee aroma and excellent flavor draw you right in. I figure it needs another couple of months to completely fulfill its destiny. Note: an empty 220z. bottle indicates you are done for the evening.
