Old Business

Liquid Bread Tour

Marc Epard has contacted the Liquid Bread people, and they are interested in having us.
Late May, Early June was suggested.
Bus idea was shot down as too costly.
Seems to be interest in camping, Lake Wilson was suggested.

Many people recommended their beer. Shane?s boss brought back a porter. Shane gave it 8/10. Andy has visited on the way to GABF.

New Business

Competition Committee ? Has never met. Some confusion over who the members are. Using e-invite to schedule meetings.

Website - Sean has added a Library forum. Each book is listed with a post by each person who has checked out the book. It was suggested to not edit old posts, but post a new one to keep them in order.

On the subject of books, Darrell has a copy of ?Designing Beers? for sale at face value.
Shane had Siebel Institute textbooks.

Shane entered his Weizenbock in the Sam Adams competition.

Meeting Location

UFL is fine with us meeting here. There is no A/C. Same price as the ECM.

Reasons for moving last meetings from the ECM were discussed. They had double booked us for the last two months. The tone of the emails from the ECM suggested that they did not want us there.

Requirements of a meeting place were discussed.

? Must allow drinking!
? Accommodate around 30-40 people
? Access to kitchen facilities
? Good parking would be a plus
? Cheap is also good (We were paying ECM $15/month)

We could actually meet at a location with a liquor license, but meeting a dinner time could be problematic.

Dennis called a variety of churches and other meeting places. He said we were a non-profit organization looking for a meeting place. Those that were amenable were not once beer was mentioned.

UFL will allow us to meet there, and they do not mind drinking. Sherri has spoken to the administrator, and they are ok with $15/month.

Concerns were raised about the southern location.

A vote was taken, and it was decided to keep meeting at the UFL for the foreseeable future. If another viable alternative is found, it will be discussed in the future.

The question was raised about allowing proxy voting for members not in attendance.

Kegs ? Another shipment of kegs is coming. We will be getting 60 (all ball locks). They will be available for $15 for members. $20 for non members.

Boulevard Tour ? If you weren?t there, it was great. With one small exception. Some damage was discovered on one of the vans when it was returned. Dennis thought his credit card covered rental insurance, but vans were not included. He is looking at a $500 deductible. It was decided that the Guild would cover the costs. We don?t have an estimate from Enterprise at this time. He has a $1000 hold on his credit card.

Various fundraiser ideas were discussed. It was decided to use proceeds from keg sales by increasing cost from last time. Other fundraisers will be discussed in the future.

Barrel Brew ? Next up will be Bock, if Andy finishes his walk-in cooler.

Meeting adjourned.

Thanks to Jackie St. Aubyn for taking notes!
Raise a toast to St. Joe Strummer
