Hey All,

I'll get these up soon, but for now please be aware of the time sensitive nature of the thread regarding tickets to the Great Taste of the Midwest. If you are considering going, the time to act is NOW. That is: Right NOW, not next-Tuesday now. Sign-up for tickets, including payment of money for potential tickets (refunded if the ticket falls through), must take place immediately.

Please see the appropriate thread for more details! viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3006

LBG Minutes – April 2012

Tasting
This month’s tasting featured Oak beers, category 22C – Wood Aged Beers. We sampled an American Amber by Angelo; a Bourbon Barrel Porter by Rob Martin and Dan Hartness; Dragon’s Milk by New Holland; and a Sour Barrel Porter by 23rd Street.

Seminar
Several members shared their DIY and other gadgets. Tucker had a counter-flow chiller. Chuck a filter. Andy showed off a Sanke keg fitting that he and Swagman designed. Jeff – a barrier. Ken showed sanitizing tubes that he made as well as the Gamma lids from Home Depot. Frank had his keg washer and beer line cleaner.

Business Meeting
Clean-up was by Jake, Jason and her; and many more. Thanks!

Librarian – Jeff went over check-out procedures.

Treasurer – we have about $7800. There are 115 paid members.

Secretary – I talked about tickets for Great Taste of the Midwest. We were allotted 15 as a group purchase; they and more were gone by meeting’s end. If you can help out, please consider entering the lottery so that other members get a better chance to go. More info in the thread about Great Taste tickets.
