I didn't take notes, but here's what I remember (maybe others can help fill in the blanks).
Business Meeting:
There were 4 new people. Dean, and I didn't catch the others.
Cleanup - Dale, Me, others
Treasurer - I think Ken said we had ~$7K
Library - Tucker had the books on hand for checking out/in
Brewfest:
Logistics - go to the "various logisitics signup" thread on the forum to volunteer for the following:
- Work in the Ticket Tent
- setup on Friday
- tear-down on Sunday
- bring miscellaneous items
Galen, Rob, and others were to discuss the best time for bagging ice after the meeting.
Food - Sign-up through the forum to pull pork Saturday morning, and to bring a side dish.
Beverage - Deadline for donations is August 29th - donation form can be found online, in the forum. First round of tickets available after the meeting for those who have already pledged kegs.
Note: Since the meeting, we have reached capacity for donations. See details in the beer donation thread
PM Frank or Andy with any changes for beers that have already been pledged.
Music - Brewfest bands will be (copied from last months meeting notes, I don't think there were any changes): Lonnie Ray Blues Band, Rumble Jets, Truckstop Honeymoon, Dean Monkey & the Dropouts, and Lance Fahy.
Seminar - Frank went over kegging for Brewfest. Highlights were:
- All donations are expected to be full kegs
- Bring kegs out or send with someone else Friday night if at all possible
- Highly carbonated beers don't work with the tap setups. I think 2.5 volumes was the recommended level of carbonation (i.e. 10psi, 36F). Strongly recommended to set it and forget it for 2-3 weeks before brewfest, and avoid using rapid carb techniques.
Tasting - Saisons
We tasted 4 examples. One of them was Andy & Bowe's milo saison. I'm having trouble remembering the others.
I think that was pretty much it. Hopefully others can fill in the blanks.
