LBG Minutes – September 2012

Business Meeting
New people – Mark Hutchinson, Andy. Welcome!

Clean-up was by Lisa, Dan, Bowe, and many more. Thanks!

Librarian – Jeff went over check-out procedures; we acquired a couple new books.

Treasurer – Ken reported that we have money to pay our brewfest bills.

QM – We’ll be using the new equipment for Brewfest.

Frank reported on the latest grain buy, and noted that there is info for bulk hop buying on the forum.

Brewfest – Please follow the threads online, get on the forum and volunteer for something!

Beverage Committee – There will be 5 flights with 18 taps running 72 minutes each. We have lots of soda donations this year, too. Friday evening will be keg check-in/exchange for ticket; glass distribution will be Saturday so bring something to drink from Friday night. Please try to make it Friday, a few check-ins Saturday will be manageable, but there will be lots of other things to do then. A few bartender positions are still open; please sign up on the forum.

Logistics – Ice schedule is on the forum, still need someone for Thursday morning. Need people for the ticket tent. Everyone please help with trash, etc., during the event.

Food committee – Bring large side dishes, and encourage your guests to bring sides, too! Brewfest is sold out this year, and last year we ran out of sides.

No Pets unless on a leash this year. Clean up after your pets – scoop the poop.

Shrimp boil needs to have been paid for by the time these minutes are posted. Tickets were distributed for the shrimp boil this year.

Bonus!! - Sunday morning pancakes and sausage by Dale Wheeler and Joe Yoder.

Seminar
George Phoenix discussed his finishing hydrometer with a more precise scale, from 0.980 to 1.020.
