Barry Wins Again!
Once again our own Barry Fitzgerald has captured an award in the annual Brew Your Own Magazine Label Contest. His Secret Recipe Ale label took the Grand Prize. You can see the label along with the other winners here.

Great American Beer Festival: This year's Great American Beer Festival is being held September 25-27 at the Colorado Convetion Center in Denver, Colorado. The Great American Beer Festival has been held every year since 1982 and is presented by the Association of Brewers, a not-for-profit educational and trade organization founded in 1978 that is devoted to making quality brewing and beer information available to anyone. The Association of Brewers serves craft and homebrewers.

Minutes of the July 11th meeting

Only three members showed up for the July 11th meeting. The members decided to adjourn the meeting and head to Free State. New business included Speer's Defiant Ale, while old business revolved around Copperhead Pale Ale.


Homebrewers Conference Shatters Attendance Record
Boulder, Colo.-June 26, 2003: A record number of America?s homebrewers, professional craft brewers and beer and food enthusiasts gathered in Chicago this past weekend to sharpen their palates, expand their horizons and crown the best amateur brewers in America. The 25th annual American Homebrewers Association national conference, succeeded on all fronts. A crowd of more than 750 enjoyed 238 five gallon kegs (more than 1,200 gallons) of home-brewed beer. Conference attendance was more than triple the number from the previous year. The American Homebrewers Association (AHA) is a division of the Association of Brewers.
