Rob called the general meeting to order
Marc & Mike volunteered to clean up after the meeting
Barry announced (in absentia) that Prairie Acre is playing at a fundraiser:
for all fans of the prairie acre and lovers of local music,
see prairie acre (2pm), the new amsterdams (1pm),
the o'heebs (12 noon),
and the tommy johnson experiment (11am)
saturday may 7th
lawrence community nursery school block party
7th street and alabama
tickets: $4 - adults, $2 - kids 3+, free - babies (2 and under)
(fund raiser for the school)
Joe announced Big Brew at his house, 7 May invited all hands, as usual we need to clear out by 5 because he has a wedding to attend Joe and Shane will get together to coordinate ingredients
Andy asks (in absentia) about getting a barrel for Big Brew this year Rob says he hasn't ordered it yet, but thinks we'll be able to still do so Dennis says that we can get a new barrel from Midwest Brewing Supplies
Ale and Vino in Topeka wants to offer members a 10% discount (and is more convenient for some of us) Craig will send a membership list -- needs contact information
Sean moves that we sponsor a table at the KC Biermeisters compo next year
New Business:
we have a domain name: lawrencebrewers.org and we're moving to a dedicated host very soon (like a day or so)
Brewfest:
Chuck and Joe will be brewing this year, but Joe wants to see more Craig will hand out comp tickets to people who commit to brewing (and will ask Charlie, maybe Alberta, maybe Ale and Vino to donate kits)
we're offering the homebrew shops a table to display literature, wares, etc. Craig will contact them for more details
Barry showed off the logo for this year
Craig has tickets, and is not looking forward to trying to allocate them fairly
Rob adjourned the meeting before the mayhem began
