- April Hoppy Hour on April 4 at Servaes Brewing Co.: Be the FIRST to check out the new brewery of our very own member Courtney Servaes! Come see what Courtney has planned and try a few of her first beers! Because of space constraints, MEMBERS ONLY, please.
- Entry registration for the Big Brew Day Brew-Off opens at noon Saturday, March 16. Entries due by Wednesday, April 17. Only accepting 150 entries! Judging will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at the Free State Production Facility. Sign up to judge or steward at http://lawrencebrewers.org/competition. The discount code for LBG members will be LBGMEMBER2019. Anyone using this discount code who is not a member will forfeit the entry fee and will not have their beer judged. Do not share the discount code with anyone who is not a paid LBG member! Lots of prizes and two scale-ups will be up for grabs!
- KC Nanofest is Saturday, May 18. Even if you don’t have a booth, it’s a fun festival to attend. Blind Piper (Bruce and Nate) and Josh DaVee will have booths.
- Tickets have been claimed for Parkville. If you’re donating a keg, get your beer descriptions to Sara/Duane ASAP.
- Maifest and the awards ceremony for the competition will be Saturday, May 4, and has a new location: Lawrence Creates Makerspace at 512 E. Ninth St. Bring a side (sign up at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090f44 ... f2-maifest) and beer (sign up at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1mel6MS ... ested=true) to share. The LBG will provide the meat and tableware. Resources will be available to brew on site. Talk to Ryan if you have questions about brewing. Raffle will be back!
- The LBG will once again receive 15 tickets for Great Taste of the Midwest. If you’re interested in claiming tickets, see Steve Brown’s forum post at lawrencebrewers.org/lbgforum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4383.
Treasurer
- $5,878.24 in funds (number needs updated from February)
- The Internet service cost decreased.
- Jon still has swag for sale.
- Lynette has completed an inventory of the library. Box 5 is designated for non-beer books.
- Still missing some books. Thinking about re-ordering some and finding equivalents (newer versions) for others.
- Putting together a reading list for BJCP, cicerone, etc. Matt plans to donate a copy of BJCP study flash cards.

- Sign up to bring a keg and side dish to Maifest.
- Remember, you can set up notifications for certain sections/threads of the forum. Talk to Ryan if you need help setting this up.
- LBG member and 23rd Street Head Brewer Tucker Craig led the seminar on brut IPAs.
- Jim led the tasting on American stouts and porters. They included: Founders Porter, Boulevard Bully! Porter, Deschutes Obsidian Stout, North Coast Old Rasputin and Boulevard Dark Truth. Happy Pi Day!
