Meeting minutes fir the January 11th meeting held at the Unitarian Fellowship

<b><u>Business Meeting</u></b>

<b>Old Business</b>

<u>Treasurer?s Report</u>
Around $3300

<u>Maifest</u>
Maifest is going to be very laid back, and a lot of fun.
We will be brewing for BigBrew
Invitations are being sent out to neighboring guilds
The Guild will provide meat. Members to bring sides
The taps will be set up, and beers will be rotated
Bands will be playing for beer

<u>Roadtrip</u>
We will be making a trip to Omaha to visit some brewpubs. We will be staying overnight. If you are interested in attending, please email officers@lawrencebrewers.org by March 1st.

<u>BJCP certification</u>
There has been a great deal of interest from some of the members to get BJCP certified. John Monaghan and Steve Hinton will be working together to organize a study group and to arrange a time and location for our members to take the exam.
Interested parties should contact one of them.

So far, we have the following people as interested in taking the exam:

<u>Grain Buy</u>
There are still grains that have not been paid for. Please get paid up.

Dues are due. $16 individual $24 family
Please get paid up as soon as possible.
The Members only forum will be updated with the list of paid members on January 31st.

<u>MVB Award</u>
MVB voting has begun. Please cast your vote at the link below:

The winner will receive a $50 gift certificate, and an LBG tap handle/trophy that will move each year with the new MVB.

<u>Brewfest book</u>
The Brewfest event book needs to be in print by May 15th

<u>Cider Press</u>
One of the greenboard members has a cider press for sale. The guild took a vote and has elected to purchase it.

<u>Tap tower</u>
Need a 6 tap tower built before Brewfest
Jarrell has volunteered to build one.
Need a parts list for a parts order

<u>Website</u>
Sean needs help
Consider creating a Webmaster officer position

<u>Adsense</u>
There has been discussion on the forum about adding Google Adsense to our website. Please follow the link below to cast your vote:

The poll will be closed Jan 31st.

<u>Officers</u>
Officer voting was going to be online this year, however, all officers ran unopposed. So the membership voted at the meeting.

2007 Officers:
Dale Shane, and Craig will be sharing the Beermeister duties.
John will serve as VP
Bill will serve as Secretary
Sean will serve a second term as president
