Seminar:
Kevin Prescott gave us a presentation of his tour of Hop Union. We were in awe of the two-story pile of hops. We have a copy of the PowerPoint presentation and you can have a copy upon request.
We think it is great that Kevin is willing to come to your club and show us these tours on his own time.
Thanks, as always, to Kevin.

Tasting was done at the beginning of the meeting. Re-organizing the troops was difficult, much like herding cats.

2 franziskaner hefe weiss
3 Paualaner
4 Granite City wiezen

Tickets:

Purchased tickets:
Ticket distribution was derived by taking the number of tickets (300) divided by the total number of paid members (~67). So each member is guaranteed up to 4 tickets to purchase in the first round. Leftover tickets go to a pool for first come first served.
You can pay online w/ PayPal (service fee will be added) or you can pay at the August 9th meeting with cash/check. Tickets are $25 each, $10 for designated drivers (DD) and kids 12 and over. DD and kids get a plastic cup.

Tickets for beer donations:
5 full gallons of drinkable brew gets you 1 comp ticket with a maximum of 2 tickets for a single membership, and a maximum of 4 for a family membership
Comp tickets will not be given until the beer has been delivered. Those that commit to beer donation but do not turn in beer (due to infection, beer loss, consumption, etc) will be allowed to purchase a ticket.
Even if you get 4 comp tickets for beer donation, you are still allowed your 4 tickets for purchase.

To register for tickets online:
Go to lawrencebrewers.org and click ?Brewfest? on the bottom left hand side. Once you click you will be welcomed by Andy and Rob from Brewfest 11.
Read what information you like, then go to ?Ticket reservations can be found Here? and click the link, then fill out the form.
August 9th is the payment deadline. You can always pay Joe if you feel like it.

Friday 21st is for members only. This is a chance for us to catch up with each other and to get some of the setup out of the way.
Sat 22nd the taps open to public. As usual, all-you-can-eat buffet, brew, sodas, water and great music! Present your ticket or your donation for your glassware.
