This year is going to be rough for many families. Some of them have signed up for Adopt a Family. I'm planning to donate or do something for this program, and I thought I'd see if anyone else was interested in helping out.
In the past we have done raffles and sales, or just a donation.
The last time I looked, there were still 300+ families still looking for either an adoption or assistance.

Just thought I would toss this out.

Sean, I think that this is an excellent idea. It has been a tough year for many and this is an opportunity to show that our club is more than a drinking club that throws excellent parties. How about a donation box at the Christmas party just to start it up?

I would like to help/donate. What are the deadlines? Is taking up donations on the 18th too late? Otherwise, I think it's a great idea.
