Renfest/Brefest brew date

#1 Post by Blktre » Mon Aug 11, 2008 11:42 am

Sun. Aug. 17 starting first thing. Shane is bringing his stuff over to my house along with John and Brick. We still need help. The Renfest beer is is a Guild brew and you now whats happening with it, so everybody is encouraged to participate. Im working 24hrs on Fri. and Mon. so this session is pushing me. Lets get this done easily, the more the marrier.

The Brewfest beer is for those that need beer to donate towards Brewfest. If you cant be here to help brew the Brewfest beer, you wont be able to use this beer as you donation. The remainder will fill holes at Renfest and a LBG beer for Brewfest.

Regardless, we need lots of help to get 120g into the fermenters. If your not sure how this is going to be fermented, this is a sweet opp. to see the Twins in action.

As usual, bring what you want to put on the grill for lunch and bring any homebrew/commercial to share......Post up if you can be here.....

Cheers,
Andy

I'll help as much as I can. But I may have to leave and come back a couple of times during the brew.

Are kids invited?

Probably not a good idea. My wife is out of town so I will have to figure out what to do with them kiddos. Also, I would need to leave around 11:00 or so, as I have plans that afternoon.

Let me see if I can find a babysitter....

How early can we get started?

Earlier the better IMHO.

I don't get off duty until 0700. Thats 7am for those that don't know how to read a military clock  So i will be home shortly there after. My plan is to have all our gear setup Fri. so Sun. morning i go straight to heating water when i walk in the door. Shane and Brick are planning to be there in the same time frame.

Bring grill food and home brew.....that is if you want to eat and drink.

Thanks, Andy, for hosting the brewing session yesterday. It (the part I was there for, at least) was pretty kickass.

I concur! That was an awesome day! I was impressed by how well we all came together and worked together and solved problems together and brewed together.

We're going to have a lot of great beer to serve at Renfest this year! Thanks to everyone who came out and contributed time and equipment and effort.

Special thanks to Andy for sharing his lawn for the day.
