50 years of the Aluminum can

Thanks to beer, 2009 marks the 50th year for the aluminum can.

If you lived East of the Missouri River and other out of the way places, it was an oddity. Remember the old cans that were opened with a V shaped can punch or a pocket knife? Oh, and then the great invention of the pull-top.

In the '70s, a six of Coors could be purchased for less that $3 a six in Kansas and doubled in Missouri with import fees :lol: . The world economy has changed since then.

The Push Button was a pain. A screw driver worked pretty good for opening them!
