Looking for mesh bag for partial mash...

#1 Post by Swoosh » Fri May 22, 2009 1:00 pm

I bought a couple of kits with what they call a Mini Mash (partial mash) but I forgot to get the nylon bag with the kit.

I was planning on brewing this Monday, weather permitting. Does anyone have one I might borrow?

Or, does anyone know if Wal-mart sells a large cheese cloth that is big enough to hold the grain?

Also, I think I have read before that you can substitute women's panty hose but I have never tried this technique. Has anyone else? If so, would you suggest this or not and any tips?

Thanks for your help!

Paint store
nylon bags for filtering paint, work well, reusable.

3. The long-term exposure to extremely hoppy beers; if excessive or prolonged, a habitual dependence on hops will occur.

Perfect....sounds better than using panty hose!

Although I could have named the beer a Panty Pale Ale

Or maybe not...

Thanks guys!
