Who's brewing this weekend? Part II

If you are interesting in checking out some brewing, anyone is welcome to come out to the house this Saturday. Starting at 9am.

Bill is brewing an Amber ale (mini)
Carver (friend of mine from KC) is brewing a stout I think. (mini)

Pretty casual, lunch might e some grilling.

with that said.....im brewing Fri. morning. Brewing a 'Dubbel de Raysonne'.
Im carmelizing some dark Pilocillo sugar and sauteeing some raisins in Port wine during the boil. These ingriedents will be added at the end of the boil........have fun Sean on Sat......il head your way around 1045......

What a great brew day! Andy, Carver, Bill and John dropped by.

It was misty/rainy all day, so tested brewing in the basement with alot of ventilation. With both burners running, no problems.

I got to test out my new mash tun, and it seems to work very well.

We tapped into the keg fridge, ate some pizza, and generally talked about beer and such. I know I had a ball, hope to do it again.

Thanks everyone for coming over, made the day speed by.

I was glad I could show up and give you guys something to laugh at. I might back off on stressing over every little detail someday, maybe, hopefully.

I plan on going to Sean's on Thr to move my Amber to the secondary and maybe start up another kit, but if I do that, I'm outta carboys for Big Brew on Sat. I'll see if I can steal one of Sean's while I'm there!

Na Bill, im just used to folks coming over to my house to watch me brew and drink beer.....Sat. was a rare occasion for me.......btw, dont ever back off stressing over every detail. Once you do, the bad beer god will bite you. You may alter techniques as you gain experience w/ your brewing style, but dont ever relax on the basics. After awhile these things get to be second nature, and wont be stressfull any longer......glad to see you guys getting busy! Even if Sean has those funnly looking beaker type carboys

Now you all just lay off my pyrex carboys.. just because I have to tape the bungs down to seal them since they are huge!!

Now if you all was to buy me out my shame of having pyrex, I won't stop ya.

And Bill, listen to Andy. Once you get a rhythm of cleaning and sanitizing, you can play around more with the brewing.
