Cheap External GFCI

#1 Post by BourbonDrinker » Tue Jul 20, 2010 9:19 am

Just a heads up to anyone with a keg washer that wants to add an external GFCI... The Radio Shack on 23rd and Louisiana has them on clearance for $2 marked down from $20.

I should be back in there tomorrow. If they have them I'll grab 'em for you. I'd do it tonight but have commitments.

I picked up the last three at the Radio Shack I was at. Jason gets two since he was first in line... I'm keeping one for myself. If you're still interested you might check other local Radio Shacks... It's a heck of a deal.

Hey Devin
Is there a part # on your GFCI. The minimum wage power head at the Radio Shack I checked in Topeka was having trouble locating his own backside. (yeah, couldn't do it with both hands and a flashlight) Totally freaked him out when I used big words.

I called the two Topeka stores today and they were sold out, but the guy that answered the phone turned out to be the Overland Park store manager (odd), who informed me that he had like a dozen at his store and would gladly have the couple I wanted sent to the Topeka store for me. Pretty cool. They'll arrive tomorrow afternoon, so I'll get them then.

Thanks to Jim for thinking of me though, and if you don't need the second one you got, I'll gladly take it too. Having a spare $20 part around when they cost $2 is a no-brainer.

Hey Matt

I live near the north store in Topeka. If you want, I can pick them up and bring them to the grain split on Saturday. I called the Overland Park store yesterday and had them send the rest that they had on hand so I could pick up a few, so I'll be headed there regardless. Probably get there around noon.
