Some homebrewing stats from the AHA

- Estimated 1.1 million Homebrewers in the US
- 40% started Homebrewing in the last 4 years
- The average Homebrewer age is 42 years old, 52% are between 30-49
- 85% are Married or in a Domestic Partnership
- 68% have a College Degree or Higher Education
- Nearly 68% have incomes of $75000 or more
- In 2017 Homebrewers produced more than 1.4 million barrels of brew
- Nearly all Homebrewers (94%) shop in 1-2 local homebrew stores 8 times a year
- A majority (76%) also shops in 2-3 online stores 5 times a year

I've been a member since the early 1990's and recommend being a member to all. They especially have helpful info for new brewers. They also support local clubs in many ways.
