Do I need to keep my Kit extract cool?

I just got my Stout kits tonight and I put the yeast into the fridge. I wasn't sure if it was necessary to keep the extract refrigerated or not. I have it sitting in the coldest room in my house, which is like 60 degrees. Does it matter if I keep the extract cool vs room temprature? Will keeping to too cool or too warm effect the beer? If so, what are the temp ranges I should store it in?

Cooler is probably better than warmer, but refrigeration isn't necessary. If it is Dry malt extract (DME) keep it somewhere with lower moisture. If you plan to make the kit in the near future, none of this realy matters that much.

Thanks John!
I really didn't think that storage at a cool temp would hurt any of the Kit ingredients. Better to ask though.
Guess I'll be brewing it up Thursday night. Wish me luck!
