I wanna go to Tallgrass

#1 Post by cyburai » Fri Apr 11, 2008 11:03 am

I would love to go with some friends.

What's it going to take to get to go?

My son Kyle was just there a few weeks ago hanging out with Jeff. Kyle said they were building a tasting room area. It might be kinda cool to wait until that is finished to give us someplace to sit and hang out after checking his gear out. Otherwise, according to Kyle, its just like standing in a room with a few toys in it.
Either way I suggest starting a poll so people can pick dates that would work for the majority of members and for Jeff to go. Thoughts....

1. When a once extraordinarily hoppy beer now seems pedestrian.
2. The phenomenon a person has when craving more bitterness in beer.
3. The long-term exposure to extremely hoppy beers; if excessive or prolonged, a habitual dependence on hops will occur.
4. When a "Double IPA" just is not enough

Screw all the polling for dates and such, useless and time consuming. Prez, talk to Jeff, pick a date, or two at most, and we'll go for it. More than eight we'll get a van. More than 20 we'll rent a bus. Hope we have those dates by the end of next week. Lets get a damn field trip going!

+1 Either people can go or they can't.. There is just no way to accommodate everyone.

I wanna go! We'll take pictures for those that can't go and show them at the meeting. Those that didn't make will be envious.

Here's the latest. Jeff will be in the bottling business in June and says that would be a good time to schedule the trip.

So what dates in June are we looking at? Are we inviting Jeff, and whomever he'd like to bring out to Mayfest? He need bring NO BEER (or anything for that matter), lets pay him back a bit-- after the copious amounts of his beer he brought out to Brewfest last year!

Saturday, June 28th is the date.

Check your calendars, and respond after this post if you can go. If there is enough interest, we can petition to see if the guild will pick up the transportation costs. (ie; renting a van/suv)

All other expenses are on you.
