For some reason; the KSF doesn't have a homebrew competition like other state fairs. That seems odd to me.

I am going to contact the competition organizer and see why that is, and what it will take to get it going for 2009.

No reason us Kansans should be left out. I think we make some damn good beer in Kansas.

I'll post here what I find out.

This might be a good reason to start up communications across the state of Kansas with other brew clubs-- a council of sorts. Not only for what I think would be a great event at the Kansas State Fair, but maybe even some sort of homebrew, club only, fest gathering of the clubs for a party of sorts. It would be great if a Mayfest\Big Brew sort of event had members from all over the state involved... Maybe even some in-state competitions, and sharing of judges etc.

Maybe our Forum could have a section for in-state clubs. We could contact the other clubs with the site address, so that event information could be shared... possible rendezvous at breweries, etc.
