I made a Vienna Lager yesterday and waited until this morning to pitch. As I was pitching, I dropped the yeast. It slipped out of my hands (glass) and smashed on the floor.

All that time proping the yeast and a beer ready for it. Wasted.

Anyone have a lager yeast or suggestions on what to do with this?

10lbs Vienna
6.8 lbs 2 row
6lbs Munich
2oz choc
3oz Hallertau(60)
1oz Hallertau(10)

I have some other yeasts here that I have propped for other beers I am going to make.

2112 Cal Lager
1056

The wort is still cold and safe at 49 degrees.

Go with the cali common. At least your can save your hard earned wort and still make a decent beer.

Shane came thru with a BoPils yeast that I pitched on it. We'll see if anything is going on in the morning.

All is well.. just started the crash today. It stopped at 1.014. Tastes very mild and no funky flavors.

I am pleased. Thanks again shane.
