Free Fridge

#1 Post by meisel » Thu Jun 19, 2008 10:41 am

Upgraded my kegerator and now have an old green fridge that needs a home. It runs cold as a mofo and easily fits four pin-lock kegs. I wanted people in the guild to have first dibs so send me a pm if you are interested, otherwise it goes up on freecycle.

Thanks,
Lee

First off, thanks again! I felt bad for not having any homebrew ready that I could give you for the fridge, but from sounds of it, after Muggs for Juggs you weren't up for it anyway .

You weren't kidding when you said it gets cold! On setting 1 (the lowest), it was 40?F. I was hoping the low setting would yield mid to high 60s. I put a 2" thick piece of foamboard as a 'door' for the freezer, but that only brought the temp up to 46?F!

I will probably make a temp. controller for it so I can use it for fermenting lagers. I built a foamboard fermentation box that I plan to connect to the fridge (in as yet undetermined manner) to ferment ales.
