Tubing and Drilled Holes

I have watched people fidget with trying to get elastic hose through a hole for years but a neat trick can save you some time without drilling an oversize hole.

Let's assume that there is a 3/8 inch hole with 3/8 inch OD hose required to go through the hole. Slice the hose back in a long spear pointed shape. The pointed hose will easily start in the hole. Grab the protruding point on the hole exit with a pair of pliers to get a good grip and pull the hose on through.

You can even do this with an undersized hole such as the hole in the gas tank on a lawnmower or chainsaw.

Enjoy!

don't take this out of context....

adding keg lube to your hose will allow it to slide into the hole easier as well.
