Who all brewed, and what did you make?

Dad and I (Lightning Bar/Can I Borrow... Brewing)are in the middle of brewing an All Grain Version of the Imperial Slavic Ale that N. Brewer had in the next to last catalog. An double/triple IPA, O.G. shooting for around 1.100 and IBU somewhere around 185 theoretical. It uses Polish Marynka hops, Czech Premiant, Czech Saaz, and A couple oz. of Summit (8oz all together). SO we'll see how it goes...

Expect rose-like aromas from your marynka (depending on addition) and kaffir lime/citrus from the summit which is a cool high-alpha dwarf variety. Both great hops for IPAs and IIPAs. Saaz is probably my favorite hop in the whole world, you really can't go wrong there. What yeast are you using to ferment this beast? Plan to do a honey addition?

Interstellar Galactic brewed a stout and an ESB. 20 gallons brewed and in the fermenter in less than 5 hours. Thanks Ian and Nate!

lee,

yeah, 3# honey added to the boil, and in the true spirit of the Can I Borrow... Brewery, jeff was nice enough to lend us a pack of Wyeast 9093 Imperial Blend. Just going into cooling now, hit 1.097 so feel pretty good about that as long as it's bubbling tomorrow :D

Perfect yeast for that... 9097 Old Ale would be another interesting experiment with it's strain of brett: it would add softness, leathery qualities and you wouldn't have any issues with attenuation.
Congrats on a successful brew! I'm officially inspired

I brewed two extract batches this weekend using two different types of yeast. Both were a heavier lemon Hefe-weizen with an calculated almost 6% ABV. Changed around the hop schedule to help with the added alcohol favors, IBU = 17. In the friday batch used Wyeast 3333 German Wheat and Sat was Wyeast 1010 American Wheat. Also was the first time using an oxygen injection system, very nice!

Both are bubbling like crazy. Cannot wait to taste these side by side and really see how the different yeast change the flavors.
