Here it is the recipe 4 the barrel bock.
55#munich
55#dark munich
55# pils
17# wheat
6# melonoidin
3# special b
=1.084
Give or take a little tweakin. The grains and hops will be bouhgt all at once,so theres no scrambling for stuff.So all that has to be done is a price put on the 5gallon amount, which will b soon.So far there is 35gal spoken 4. Leaving 15 gallons open. Im suggesting the club get in for 5 gal so that we can have it at brew fest !!! so that said theres 10 gallons open .........
The brew will be made at Andy's and my house,fermented and stored in barrel at my house. cheers shane

50# of Mel. will rot away before you get thru it all. Youd be better off buying some base and splitting a sak of Mel. w/ 1-2 other brewers......

Grains will be $10 per 5 gallonish batch.
Right now we have:
Shane 10, Dustin 10, Andy 5, John 5, Joe 5, Jarrell 5, Dennis 5 & Guild 5. Please pay Thursday at meeting since these are going on bulk grain order. Cheers. 8)

Just an FYI, the grains for the barrel will be ordered with the big grain shipment. If you we buying into the barrel as well as ordering grains be sure to add the barrel cost to your total.

If you are not ordering grains, but are part of the barrel, we need money soon.

Cost is $9 for the malts, per 5 gallons.

We have Shane & Dustin down for 10 gallons each and the rest of you down for 5 gallons each: Andy, Jarrell, Yoder, Club, Dennis, Jeff B. and John.

Please make checks out to Shane Lynn and mail or stop buy with cash. 785-832-2290. Please get this done ASAP, so this can be ordered next week.

Woke up this morn and shes a blowin..great job all,were looking at about 2 weeks till we empty B1 and rack B2 to oak..cheers

Any further ideas as to when we might be ready to get this baby in the barrel? I'm pretty sure Wednesday and Thursday are my only open evenings.
What's the plan for transfer from the barrel to the kegs? I would think a known length of solid material could be attatched to a hose and pump once gravity has been established...53 gallons of gravity filled kegs would probably take a while.
What's the plan as to cleaning between batches? Simple roll the keg upside down getting all stout out or say a water rinse?
